Capcom has confirmed that Sagat will return to Street Fighter 6 on August 5th as part of the Year 3 character pass, bringing with him a new Thailand stage and fresh World Tour content.
A brief teaser trailer was released that revealed the release date and you can view that video above.
As revealed a few days back, the Capcom Spotlight Showcase concentrated heavily on Street Fighter 6, and Sagat was the centre of attention.
Known as the King of Muay Thai, Sagat was the final boss of the original Street Fighter and now marks his long-anticipated comeback in SF6’s evolving roster.
In the lead-up to his release, the Sagat Arrives Fighting Pass will launch on July 4th. This upcoming pass not only includes Sagat’s wanderer-themed avatar gear, but also introduces a notable shift in content design.
For the first time, the pass includes unlocks usable in Fighting Ground mode – most notably EX Colours for Ryu and Ken, alongside new challenger customisation effects and original art.
Classic game fans can also revisit Tiger Road (1987), now bundled within the pass.
Alongside Sagat’s arrival, Capcom has unveiled the first wave of Outfit 4 costumes: a set of swimwear designs for Cammy, Luke, Chun-Li, Manon, Jamie, Kimberly, and A.K.I.
These summer-themed alternates represent the initial rollout of fourth costumes, with the rest of the cast set to receive theirs in later updates.
Looking ahead, the remainder of the Year 3 DLC lineup will include Crimson Viper, Ingrid, and Alex.
